The Freedom Medical Alarm service ensures that help is just a touch of a button away.
Our waterproof personal alarms are worn around the neck or wrist at all times. When pressed, they connect the user to an emergency ambulance communications center which is monitored 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Our communications staff are trained and experienced emergency medical dispatchers and are therefore able to ensure that the right help is dispatched as needed. If the alarm is activated, they phone to check if help is needed. If the call goes unanswered an ambulance is dispatched immediately.
Freedom Medical Alarms is a joint venture between Healthcare of New Zealand Limited and Wellington Free Ambulance and currently operates in the greater Wellington, Manawatu and Christchurch regions.
